Why does the service only work with certain mobile networks?

Our technology integrates directly with major mobile networks. While this capability is built into most pay monthly phone contracts, some pay as you go plans don't support it yet, which is why compatibility can vary.

How do I install this app on my phone?

What happens if I don’t reject the call?

If you answer a private or unknown call, MaskOff UK will not be able to unmask the number. You must reject or decline the call in order for the service to work.

Can I block the unmasked number afterwards?

Yes. Once you have the number, you can block it directly using your phone’s call blocking settings or any additional call management services you may have.

Do you automatically block excessively repeated calls?

Yes. To enhance your peace of mind and prevent notification spam, our system includes an automatic protection feature. If a single withheld number calls you excessively (specifically, after 100 attempts), we will automatically stop sending SMS and email alerts for that number. However, every call is still logged and remains fully visible in your dashboard call history, ensuring you never lose a record.

Why do SMS alerts sometimes stop for a specific number?

To protect you from harassment and prevent excessive notifications from a single caller, our system has a two-stage throttling process: Temporary Pause (after the first call from a new number, SMS alerts for that specific number are automatically paused for one hour) and Permanent Stop (if the same number continues to call and triggers 15 SMS notifications, all future SMS alerts for that number will be permanently stopped). All subsequent calls are still logged in your dashboard.

Can the police trace a private number if I report it?

Yes, the UK police can trace a private number by requesting network logs under the Investigatory Powers Act. However, this is a slow process requiring a formal investigation. Many users prefer using MaskOff UK to instantly unmask the number themselves and provide the definitive proof directly to law enforcement for faster action.

Does it work internationally?

Our service is primarily designed for UK mobile networks. International compatibility may vary and is not guaranteed at this stage.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You have full control to cancel your subscription at any time directly from your account dashboard. For iOS users, please note that cancellation must be done via the app's account dashboard, not through your iPhone settings. There are no long term contracts or hidden fees. Simply navigate to the account management section to make changes.

What is your refund policy?

If our system is unable to successfully unmask a private call, you are eligible for a full refund. However, once a private call has been successfully unmasked in your dashboard, the service has been rendered and we cannot offer a refund.
